Great after school snack!
Thanks to Yvonne for this recipe! I was looking for something delicious and at least somewhat healthy to feed the kids after school. I think they were getting tired of "whatever is left in the fridge" - You know I am not the best cook...I try...but easy is always better!! =) These Homemade Granola Bars can be made SO many ways and it is all mixed in one bowl and baked for just a short time - that is music to my ears!!! If you make these, let me know what you do to mix it up...if you come up with a great concoction - let me know! I have to go make these now...they look too good!

I am going to trying this! I heard you talking about it yesterday on the radio. So glad you mentioned that you have a blog. It seems like I am always in the car running errands and you say something good, but I can't write it down.
ReplyDeleteI love blogging and the way it brings people together!!
I love making my own granola bars. So much healthier (and cheaper) than the ones in the stores! And by simmering the 'glue' I use in mine I can control the crunchiness.
ReplyDeleteI just made these this morning after I heard you talking about them on the radio yesterday. I left out the coconut and I didn't have any mini-m&m's so I let my two-year-old help me crunch up big ones in a zipper bag with a spoon. I also doubled the recipe and used a 12x12 baking pan. They took a long time to cool. I couldn't cut them for about 30 minutes, but when I did, I cut them into little squares. We're taking these on a church-wide camp-out tomorrow night and I think they'll be a hit! Keep recipes like this coming!
