1 Chicken - 2 Meals...loving it!

This is in my slow cooker at home right now!!

We were feeling a bit "fast fooded out" - and I was looking for a really easy home cooked meal.

Enter - my favorite blog...I was catching up on my blog reading and saw this post - and fell in love...I went out and got a whole chicken yesterday and now he is roasting on slow...I am actually more excited about tomorrow's recipe but my husband is a fan of the first...

Try it - let me know what you think! Winner Winner Chicken Dinner!

  1. I love doing chicken in the crockpot! It's the only way I "roast" my chicken now. I even put it out on my deck some days so as not to heat up the house even a little bit!

I'm lazy though and leave the skin on since it just falls off when it's done. :-)Of course that wouldn't work with her seasonings, but I seriously just can't get myself to pull the skin off! ick. :-)And it won't sit int he fat if you place a veggie steamer basket under the chicken!

Also fabulous (actually made it yesterday)is just chicken breasts in the pot and sprinkle with an italian dressing packet. (the ones from the store you buy to make your own dressing)And just leave on low till done. Thawed breasts take about 5 hours or so, but if you're gonna be gone all day, juts use frozen breasts instead!

  4. I tried both and they were wonderful!! I never skinned the chicken before putting it in the crock pot. WOW did that make taking the meat off the bones super easy!! Thanks for sharing!!

  6. I made the crock pot chicken. It was wonderful. I didn't get to make to taco soup, couldn't quit eating the chicken. I will definitely make this again. Hopefully I will one day get to try the soup.
